Twitter adds automatic subtitles for video uploads
Twitter announced that it is adding support for automatic subtitles for videos. According to reports, this feature will be available on Android, iOS, and web pages.
On Android and iOS platforms, subtitles are turned on on muted videos by default. At the same time, on web pages, users will see a new “CC” button in the video player that can quickly turn on/off subtitles.

Moreover, it will provide 30 automatic captions in multiple languages, including English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Japanese, and so on. The subtitles will be displayed in the original language when the video was uploaded. There is currently no option to translate the subtitles.
Twitter recently tested many new features on its platform, including voting buttons for tweets, a new “exploration” tab with TikTok-style scroll feeds, the ability to upload longer videos, and more. The company is also testing a new advertising format, placing ads between tweet replies.
