Instagram “Snapshot” will support uploading up to 60 seconds of video

According to the latest report, Instagram recently started testing a major change in its Stories platform, which allows users to post photos and short videos, and maintain a 24-hour live broadcast. The social network hopes to increase the maximum length of videos on Stories to 60 seconds in an attempt to beat Snapchat and TikTok again.

Moreover, the social network’s application is now notifying some users about this change. Currently, if the video you record or upload exceeds 15 seconds, it will be automatically divided into multiple different stories.

However, with this new change, users will be able to post up to 60 seconds of video on Stories without having to split them. “Find a longer story. Videos that do not exceed 60 seconds will no longer be split.”

Furthermore, the company is also testing and publishing a revised interface for Stories, which will make it easier to mention other accounts or add locations in posts. It is unclear when or if Instagram will provide these changes to all users around the world because now only a few users can post longer Stories.

With TikTok becoming more and more popular, Snapchat recently launched a new independent application for creators to edit videos, and Instagram is also making changes to attract users who like to share videos on social networks.
