Apple is developing a 15-inch iPad, may support running Mac applications
According to the latest report, Apple engineers and design teams are developing a giant screen iPad, which may correspond to 15 inches in size, in order to challenge Amazon’s Echo Show 15 coming within the year.
In the latest issue of Bloomberg’s Power newsletter, Mark Gurman said: Apple should use the giant iPad as its smart home portal (similar to Xiao Ai’s ecological control center), and Apple is considering making the iPad screen longer and larger. Larger to support stronger speakers and reposition the lens to the direction of landscape priority.
In addition, the sources reported that these cameras may include a lens with luxurious parameters, as well as a rear power plug and wall bracket.

But there are two main issues that have to be raised. First of all, if Apple wants to turn the iPad into a giant screen device, they will certainly not want to compromise on quality and functionality. So it means it will be very expensive. For example, the Echo Show 15 costs US$250, and the 12-inch iPad Pro starts at US$1100. It is conceivable that the 15-inch version may be a sky-high price.
Gurman also mentioned that Apple generally does not worry about high prices and no one buys them, even if sales decline, but the initial HomePod price is twice that of competing products, and Apple’s upcoming AR/VR mixed reality headset is at least four times that of current VR devices.
Second, Siri still needs to understand the user better. Although Apple currently has thousands of people engaged in this work, the quality and functionality of Siri still lag behind Alexa and Google Assistant.
It is reported that this iPad will support running Mac applications in some way. The sound function is powerful, in order to accommodate the sound unit, the body will be thicker, the power interface is at the rear, and it supports wall hanging.
In addition, there is news that Apple is developing a new version of the iPad mini, which will be equipped with a 120Hz ProMotion display instead of the current 60Hz screen.
