Among them, TSMC’s HV 28nm production capacity will still be unavailable in 2022. It will mainly provide HV 40-nanometer capacity to LX Semicon in 2022, about 10,000 pieces per month, and Apple is the ultimate customer. The remaining capacity available to other companies may be less than 5,000 pieces per month.

Moreover, the report pointed out that large companies accounted for most of the foundry capacity of AMOLED driver chips, so other design companies turned their AMOLED driver chip demand to SMIC.

Furthermore, SMIC’s highly anticipated AMOLED driver chip production capacity is growing and is expected to reach 7-8 thousand per month by the end of 2022.
