Sony released SA-SW5/3 wireless subwoofer, SA-RS3S surround speakers

Posted on

Sony announced the launch of two wireless subwoofers and a surround speaker, which can be paired with the HT-A9 home theater system and HT-A7000.

The models of these two subwoofers are SA-SW5 and SA-SW3, equipped with 180mm and 160mm speaker units, respectively, with powers of 180W and 150W. The subwoofer is connected wirelessly, which can provide users with a strong and shocking bass sound.

Moreover, the unit magnets of the two subwoofers have been redesigned. The two magnets are placed coaxially, and the coil is located at the seam. This makes the magnetic lines more dense, can enhance the bass effect, and reduce distortion.

The edge part of the speaker unit also uses a special pattern of grooves of different lengths. This can make the sound clearer. SA-SW5 uses a passive diaphragm to transmit bass, the bass will be deeper, and the user can feel the deeper bass effect.

When watching a movie, it seems that the shocking sound effect really comes from around. The SA-SW3 uses a bass inverter design, which can make the bass more realistic. In terms of connection, after turning on the power, the two subwoofers will automatically connect to the supported echo gallery/home theater system, which is more convenient.

Furthermore, Sony this time launched the wireless rear surround speaker model: SA-RS3S. This product is compatible with the HT-A7000 home theater, which can further enhance the surround effect behind the ear, and enhance the sound localization ability and detailed performance.

This product has a dual-frequency structure, and the high-frequency and full-range speakers are separated. The product supports two ways of wall hanging and placement, and it is small in size and can be flexibly configured according to the home environment.

Besides, the Sony HT-A9 home theater system contains four identical speakers. The product can be placed in an irregular shape in the room. The detection microphone is used to measure the distance between the speakers and the ceiling and other speakers, thereby using algorithms to restore the room.

This product has 360 spatial sound field positioning technology, which can synthesize the sound waves of four surround speakers and generate 12 phantom speakers at the designated position, thus bringing the effect of 7.1.4. The Sony HT-A7000 is a whispering wall speaker with a physical 7.1.2 channel, which can use wall reflections to enhance the sound surround effect.
