AMD R9 6980HX flagship processor spotted
According to the latest report, AMD will release the R9 6980HX flagship mobile processor at CES next month, with a CPU frequency of up to 5GHz.
In terms of parameters, it is reported that AMD R9 6980HX has 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 5GHz; R9 6900HX with lower specifications has 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 4.9GHz; R7 6800H has 8 cores and 16 threads, up to 4.7GHz. The 6-core R5 model is not mentioned.

Earlier news broke that the AMD 6000 series of mobile CPUs will be upgraded to Zen3+ architecture, built with 6nm process, still, 8 cores 16 threads, support DDR5-4800 memory, and will not use 3D V-Cache technology. The integrated GPU of this series will have a major upgrade to RDNA2 architecture, and the highest model of its core display will be named Radeon 680M.
