According to the latest report, an Intel executive Ryan Shrout posted a video on Twitter today, showing the actual performance of the 12th-generation Core processor platform equipped with two Samsung PM1743 PCIe 5.0 SSDs. He said that he had previously planned to demonstrate during CES 2022, but suddenly decided to release the test ahead of time.
Moreover, the test platform uses an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard with a top i9-12900K processor. This motherboard has two PCIe 5.0 slots.

The executive showed the Samsung PM1743 solid-state drive in the video. The product has a 2.5-inch size, but it uses a dedicated interface, which requires a riser card to connect to the motherboard. The interface used is PCIe 5.0 x4.
The first is a single-disk test. Using IOMeter software to run the score, you can see that its reading speed is 13.8GB/s, which is close to twice the current top PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive. Intel executives again plugged in a solid-state drive to form a RAID0 array for running scores. In the actual test, the highest speed reached an astonishing 28.3 GB/s.
Furthermore, PCIe 5.0 has a channel bandwidth of 32GT/s, which is twice that of PCIe 4.0, so the theoretical speed of solid-state drives is also about twice the previous.
According to official sources, Samsung PM1743 SSD 4K has a read performance of 2500K IOPS and a sequential write speed of 6600MB/s. This product is designed for data centers, and it is difficult for ordinary consumers to have such a high-speed demand. The product is expected to be mass-produced and shipped in 2022.
