If you have lost an AirTag or item that is registered to your Apple ID, then you can use the Find My app to mark it as lost.
“Find My” is an app and service provided by Apple Inc. This feature allows you to connect your iOS devices so that you can find them in case they got lost.
You can use the Find My app to locate a missing iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, or Beats headphones. To locate a device, you must turn on Find My [device] before it’s lost.
When you mark an item as lost:
- You can add a message saying that the item is lost and include your phone number or email address.
- If someone else finds your item, they can use a supported device to see a website with the Lost Mode message.
