But your carrier may set size limits for attachments and also your iPhone may compress photo and video attachments when necessary. What is the Message app?

The Message app is an instant messaging service developed by Apple Inc. to send text messages over cellular service to people available on your contact list. You can send photos, videos, and other info to your contacts. You can also personalize your messages with animated effects, Memoji stickers, iMessage apps, and more.

How to share, save, print, copy, or delete a message or attachment:

In a conversation, do any of the following with attachments:

  • Share, save, or print an attachment: Tap the attachment, then tap the Share button.
  • Copy an attachment: Touch and hold the attachment, then tap Copy.
  • Share items from another app: In the other app, tap Share or the Share button, then tap Messages.
  • Forward a message or attachment: Touch and hold a message or attachment, tap More, select additional items if desired, then tap the Forward button.
  • Delete an attachment: Touch and hold a message or attachment, tap More, select additional items if desired, then tap the Trash button.
