What is the Message app?
The Message app is an instant messaging service developed by Apple Inc. to send text messages over cellular service to people available on your contact list. You can send photos, videos, and other info to your contacts. You can also personalize your messages with animated effects, Memoji stickers, iMessage apps, and more.
How to use a Full-screen effect:
Use full-screen effects to animate the message screen.
Step 1: In a new or existing conversation, type a message or insert a photo or Memoji.
Step 2: Touch and hold the Send button, then tap Screen.
Step 3: Swipe left to preview different screen effects.
Step 4: Then tap the Send button to send the message or the Remove button to cancel.
Messages automatically use the following screen effects for specific text strings:
- Balloons for “Happy birthday”
- Confetti for “Congratulations”
- Fireworks for “Happy New Year”
