The Notes app allows you to invite your friends on a note or on a folder of notes in iCloud to collaborate. You can create a note or a folder of notes for different ideas, projects, events, etc., and then work over them with your friends or colleagues with help of collaboration.

When you share a folder of notes in iCloud, all the collaborators see everyone’s changes. People who are allowed to make changes can create or edit notes, add attachments, and even create subfolders if they’re using iCloud. In this article, we will tell you how you can invite your friends for collaboration on a folder in the Notes app on your iPhone.

What is the Note app?

Notes is a notetaking app developed by Apple. It functions as a service for making short text notes, which can be synchronized between devices using Apple’s iCloud. It lets you capture a quick thought, create checklists, sketch ideas, and more.

How to invite people to collaborate on a folder:

Step 1: To invite people to collaborate on a folder do one of the following:

  • In the folder list, swipe left on the folder you want to share, then tap the Share Folder button.
  • Open the folder you want to share, tap the Folder Actions button, then tap Share Folder.

Step 2: Tap Share Options, then choose “Can make changes” or “View only.” If you choose “Can make changes,” you can also allow collaborators to invite other collaborators.

Step 3: Choose how to send your invitation (for example, using Mail or Messages).
