TrendForce released a report that the total output value of the top ten foundries in the fourth quarter of 2021 reached 29.55 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.3% month-on-month. Among them, TSMC’s fourth-quarter revenue reached 15.75 billion US dollars, a quarterly increase of 5.8%. Samsung’s fourth-quarter revenue reached US$5.54 billion, a quarterly increase of 15.3%.
In addition, UMC’s revenue in the fourth quarter slowed down slightly, reaching US$2.12 billion, a quarterly increase of 5.8%. GlobalFoundries reported fourth-quarter revenue of $1.85 billion, up 8.6% quarter-on-quarter.
Moreover, SMIC’s revenue for the quarter reached 15.8% due to the continued strong demand for HV, MCU, Ultra-Low Power Logic, Specialty memory, and other products, as well as factors such as product mix adjustment and ASP, increase USD10.049 billion (approximately RMB 10.049 billion), a quarterly increase of 11.6%.
Furthermore, the sixth to tenth places were HuaHong Group, PSMC, World Advanced (VIS), Tower Semiconductor (Tower), and Nexchip.
