MSI will roll out WRX80 motherboards to support AMD’s next-generation  processors

According to the latest report, MSI will push the WS WRX80 motherboard that supports AMD Threadripper PRO workstation processors.

Moreover,  this motherboard belongs to MSI’s MSI PRO series, equipped with AMD WRX80 chipset, provided with sWRX8 CPU socket, and directly supports Threadripper PRO 5000WX processors, while supporting the previous generation 3000WX series processors.

Furthermore, this motherboard of MSI adopts E-ATX size, uses an expensive 14-layer PCB, and the CPU is powered by 11 phases. This board supports the installation of 8 DDR4 memory, running 8 channels; there are also seven PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slots, all connected to the processor and running at full x16 bandwidth. 

There may be up to four M.2 NVMe slots with PCI-Express 4.0 x4 connections. Other storage interfaces include two U.2 and eight SATA 6 Gbps. Network interfaces include 10 GbE, 2.5 GbE wired network ports, and a Wi-Fi 6E wireless network card with Bluetooth 5.2.

Expect WS WRX80 motherboards to be available at a later date, with Threadripper PRO 5000 processors debuting with the ThinkCentre P620 workstation.
