South Korea created a stretchable Micro-LED display technology

According to the latest report, the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), an agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT, successfully developed a new stretchable Micro-LED display technology for the first time, under which the display unit can be Stretch 25% without image distortion, the first time in the world.

The person in charge of this technology said that his team solved the fundamental problem of image distortion of stretchable displays by using the “meta” structure.

Furthermore, the team will continue to pursue the commercialization of meta display technology and its application to various types of electronics in the future.

Moreover, display technology is expected to promote the diversification of electronic products such as mobile phones and tablet computers.
