Moreover, Intel unveiled plans in September to invest $95 billion in Europe over the next 10 years, and Chief Executive Pat Kissinger told Reuters in January that the company would announce an announcement in the coming months, Reuters reported on the 14th.

In February, the European Commission proposed legislation to help build advanced semiconductor factories by subsidizing local development, benefiting companies such as Intel.

Intel currently has a semiconductor production facility in Ireland, Europe. The new factory will produce more advanced chips. The main factory will be located in Germany, according to two people familiar with the matter, and Magdeburg could be the location of the German factory, Reuters reported earlier.

In addition, Intel may also open joint factories in Italy and France. Italy also plans to set aside 4 billion euros by 2030 to attract chipmakers to boost local chip manufacturing. An Intel spokesman declined to give Reuters more details on the European investment plans ahead of the official announcement.
