Apple’s iPhone maker Foxconn restarted some production and operations

Foxconn said yesterday that it has suspended the production of the iPhone factory in Shenzhen, some employees live, work, and traffic in the park, and implement “two points and one line” closed management.

According to the industry guidelines issued by Shenzhen, some production and operations have been resumed in the relevant parks under the premise of strictly abiding by the government’s epidemic prevention policy requirements and doing a job in closed-loop management and employee health care in the park.

Moreover, people in the industry chain have learned that Foxconn’s Zhengzhou and Chengdu parks are currently operating normally, and it is expected that the suspension of operations in the Shenzhen park will have a limited impact on Foxconn’s overall business.

Industry chain sources said that Foxconn’s Zhengzhou and Chengdu parks are the main parks for the production of Apple products. Among them, Foxconn’s Zhengzhou campus is one of the largest assembly locations for Apple’s iPhones.

Furthermore, Foxconn mainly has two major parks in Shenzhen, Longhua Science and Technology Park, and Guanlan Science and Technology Park. Both Foxconn Longhua and Guanlan factories have production lines of IDPBG business group.

IDPBG is the “digital product business group”, which mainly produces mobile communication terminal equipment. Currently, it is mainly responsible for the OEM of the Apple iPhone. The above factories are also responsible for the production and assembly of accessories for products such as iPads and Apple computers.

In addition to Apple products, the above-mentioned factories also produce other consumer electronics brand products. Foxconn’s official website shows that Foxconn has more than 40 factories in mainland China. In the Pearl River Delta region, Foxconn has deployed Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Guangzhou, and other places.
