Reuters reported that Bentley will post an annual profit of 389 million euros in 2021, compared with a profit of 20 million euros in 2020. Meanwhile, Bentley’s 2021 vehicle deliveries jumped 31% to 14,659, driven by strong demand for new hybrid models.

Moreover, global automakers are stepping up their efforts to transition to electric vehicles as the market demands more environmentally friendly vehicles. Volkswagen, the parent company of Bentley, is also investing more in electric vehicle infrastructure to catch up to and challenge Tesla.

To achieve Bentley’s goal of being end-to-end carbon neutral by 2030, the company has invested €3 billion in its Crewe factory over the past 10 years to drive this transition.
