Intel’s chief people officer Christy Pambianchi and executive vice president of manufacturing, supply chain, and operations Keyvan Esfarjani will announce details of the program on March 17.

In January, Intel announced an initial investment plan of more than $20 billion to build two new leading chip factories in Ohio. It will be the largest single private sector investment in Ohio’s history, and the initial phase of the project is expected to create 3,000 Intel jobs and 7,000 construction jobs and support tens of thousands of additional local long-term jobs.

Moreover, Intel’s new facility is located on nearly 1,000 acres in Liking County, outside Columbus, and will house eight “fabs” in total. After a full expansion, total investment at the site could grow to as much as $100 billion over the next decade, making it one of the largest semiconductor manufacturing sites in the world.
