Herbert Diess praised Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory on LinkedIn, saying on LinkedIn that Musk’s new factory, 1.2 kilometers long and 400 meters wide, is under the same roof, from battery production.

There are no logistics to final assembly, and once operational, it may set some new industry standards. But Diess also said he was glad they had decided to build a new factory in Wolfsburg, without which they might not have had a chance to compete.

Tesla’s construction of a super factory in Texas was announced in the summer of 2020. The factory is located in Austin, about 5 minutes drive from Austin International Airport and about 15 minutes drive from downtown Austin.

As Diess mentioned, Tesla’s super factory in Austin, Texas is indeed huge. The factory covers an area of ​​about 2,000 acres (12,140 acres), which is one of the super factories that Tesla has determined to build.
