According to the latest report, Twitter has previously announced new independent timeline features for algorithms and tags, which have been rolled out to a large number of users. But after a lot of criticism, Twitter quickly backtracked.

Twitter Inc rolled out the new feature to all iOS users last week and plans to roll it out “soon” to Android and web users, but the company was less than happy with the latest changes to the timeline, again pushing users to their algorithm. The resulting “Home” tab is now the default timeline again when opening the app.
In order to get to the chronological “Latest Tweets” timeline (which many prefer to use), users are forced to swipe to a new timeline tab that co-exists with the ubiquitous “Home” tab, which will always be accidentally swiped to.
After starting to roll out the feature, Twitter was quickly met with protests from users who didn’t want the added tedium of dealing with two timelines, and surprisingly, Twitter has heeded their concerns.
The social media giant announced in a statement: “We hear you – some of you always want to see the latest tweets first. We’ve moved the timeline back and removed the tabs, for now, experience, while we are exploring other options.”
While the new feature is great news for users who like the current two timelines that they can switch between via the flash icon, it seems Twitter still wants to “explore other options” and change some in the future thing.
