AMD unveiled RSR Super Resolution Technology

According to the latest report, AMD released the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.3.1 software update, which brings RSR super-resolution technology to players. Now, AMD China’s official website has introduced the technology.

AMD says Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) is an optimized upgrade technology provided by the driver, using the same algorithm as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). Gamers can harness the power of the Radeon Super-Resolution for even better performance in compatible games.

Moreover, Radeon Super Resolution uses FSR technology and is ideal for all kinds of games that don’t support FSR. Gamers can achieve higher performance and smoothness with RSR enabled.

Furthermore, players can enable the RSR function in AMD Software to reduce the game resolution to the desired input level, and RSR will automatically optimize the display to the original resolution.

In terms of actual effects, AMD demonstrated with five games such as “Borderlands 3” and “Cyberpunk 2077”, reducing the resolution from 4K to 1080P, and then using RSR to increase to 4K, the frame rate can reach the original one 3 times.

Besides, AMD says the RSR feature supports Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, and the graphics card supports AMD Radeon RX 5000 series graphics cards and later.
