‘Overwatch’ 2.0 PVP mode beta test will officially begin on April 26

Overwatch” announced today: “Overwatch” 2.0 PVP mode beta test will officially start on April 26. The test includes content: 5v5 mode, new damage hero: Sojourn, new game mode: mobile propulsion, hero rework, 4 new maps, and more.

Due to the time difference, the Taiwan server test will start on April 27, so don’t be too impatient if you like this game. Of course, the beta test for Blizzard’s internal employees and e-sports players started last week.

Currently, overseas servers for players can apply for qualifications on the official website. In this beta test, players can play 5V5 multiplayer battles, the new hero “Sojian” and more. The game map adds four more maps to the original “Overwatch”, and also adds a new “mobile propulsion” mode.

The main content of the first round of the 5v5 test:

  • 5V5 mode

  • New Hero: Sojourn

  • 4 new maps

Royal Raceway – New Carry Target Map

Midtown – new attack/escort map

New Queen Street – New Motor Propulsion Map

Colosseum – New Mobile Advance Map

Moreover, Blizzard’s new work “Overwatch 2” was officially announced at the BlizzCon in November 2019, but there is no specific release date until now.

According to reports, Blizzard Entertainment has added a batch of new multiplayer maps to Overwatch 2, with battles taking place in famous cities around the world. The first published maps are Toronto, Canada; Gothenburg, Sweden; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; New York, USA; and Monte Carlo, Monaco. 

In terms of gameplay mode, “Overwatch 2” canceled the occupation points (Control) and offensive and defensive combat (Assault) modes and changed the 6v6 PVP mode in “Overwatch 1” to 5v5.
