Kazunori Yamauchi, game designer and CEO of Polyphony Digital, explained: “Just before the 1.07 update was released, we discovered an issue where in some cases the game would not launch properly on the PS4 and PS5 versions, which is a rare issue that was not detected during developer hardware testing or QA prior to release.”
“In order to prioritize the safety of our users’ data, we have decided to interrupt the release of the 1.07 update with a correction update in 1.08. This is the reason for such a long delay, and for this belated announcement, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone’s apology”.
In addition to this, he also talked about the controversial issue of expensive in-app purchases, saying: “In GT7, I want users to enjoy a lot of cars and races even without microtransactions”, which will eventually be resolved and will More to come at some point in the future.
Compared with GT Sport, which was questioned at the beginning of its release, this game has been significantly improved in terms of graphics, sound quality, and lighting. In addition, the career mode has returned, and the “used car” and “parts modification shop” systems have also been retained.
Furthermore, Sony officially released the opening animation of the work today, gradually advancing from the history of classic car culture to the present, from the car design first proposed by Carl Benz to the latest electric car, the Porsche Taycan.
