Toyota Motor said on Friday that some of the company’s suppliers were affected by the earthquake and were unable to supply enough parts. However, Toyota did not disclose the names of the companies.

In addition, Renesas Electronics said that the company’s factories in the earthquake area will not resume full production until next Wednesday. Toyota announced on Thursday that it lowered its global auto production target for April by 150,000 units to 750,000 units due to semiconductor shortages and the new crown epidemic.

Meanwhile, Toyota added that the company’s global average monthly production for the April-June period will be around 800,000 vehicles. Toyota also said it was still difficult to foresee the next few months and could lower production targets again.
