With OpenRAN technology, mobile operators have access to more interoperable hardware and software, making the operation of the network more cost-effective.
Vodafone said it will build 2,500 5G and 4G OpenRAN sites over the next few years and bring them online by 2027. The main beneficiaries of these networks will be those with poor connectivity in rural areas.
Moreover, Vodafone aims to launch 2,500 OpenRAN sites by 2027, people in the aforementioned seven towns and villages don’t have to wait too long if they haven’t turned on 4G connections.
