Vodafone uses OpenRAN technology to cover mobile communications across UK
According to the latest report, Vodafone announced that it is using OpenRAN technology to cover mobile communications to hard-to-reach rural areas across the UK.
In its latest update, the company said it has brought 4G to seven new regions, including Morehampton, Lifton, Selborne, Pendine, Halkyn, Bradfield, and Middleton-in-Teesdale; these regions are Devon, Hampshire, Wales, Yorkshire, and Durham were the first to receive OpenRAN technology.

With OpenRAN technology, mobile operators have access to more interoperable hardware and software, making the operation of the network more cost-effective.
Moreover, Vodafone aims to launch 2,500 OpenRAN sites by 2027, people in the aforementioned seven towns and villages don’t have to wait too long if they haven’t turned on 4G connections.
