A video by EldenRingUpdate on Twitter shows that when you are hacked, hackers will destroy your game save, first stop your game program, and after you restart the game, put you in an infinite loop of opening the game and dying.

A user on Reddit suggested a possible workaround, but it doesn’t seem to be 100% effective, here’s how:

1. First of all, since the player will play the death animation when they die, there is a total time interval of about 1~2 seconds before returning to the game loading page. During this period, you need to quickly press Alt + F4 to force quit the game, so that you can After logging back in, you will have more time to open the map page.

2. When you re-login, immediately open the game map interface, open the Blessing Point teleportation list, and then quickly teleport to other available Blessing Points.

Moreover, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have yet to comment on the issue. For now, your best bet is to backup your save files and play offline, as that’s the only way to avoid hacking.
