According to the latest report, Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor and SkyDrive said on Tuesday that the two sides had signed an agreement to cooperate on the research, development, and marketing of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

The companies did not disclose investment details for the joint project, nor did they announce any production schedule or targets, but said in a joint statement that they would also work on developing new markets, initially in India.
Moreover, Suzuki announced on Sunday that it plans to invest 104.4 billion rupees ($1.37 billion) to build a factory in India to make electric vehicles and batteries.
Tokyo-based SkyDrive, which was founded in 2018, raised a total of 5.1 billion yen (about $42 million) in its second round of financing in 2020, according to its website.
The company is currently developing a compact, two-seater electric flying car with full production planned. The statement did not say whether Suzuki would be involved in the development of the model.
Furthermore, the company is also developing cargo drones and plans to launch an “air vehicle” service at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan.
