The new business unit will develop more complex chips, including voltage regulators and data converters, to complement its discrete power devices.

“We are entering the analog chip market because we believe the market will continue to grow,” said Irene Deng, member of Nexperia’s management team and general manager of the new energy and signal conversion business group, according to eeNews. “Our goal is to become a key semiconductor leading supplier in the field, with plans to reach $10 billion by 2030.”

“In Dallas, our goal is to hire 100 people in the next two to three years,” Irene Deng revealed. “We have delineated a building that will be refurbished. Dallas will be the North American R&D headquarters, but we are in the U.S. Research and development activities in other regions will be unrestricted.”
