Apple stopped iOS 15.3.1 verification channel

After releasing the official version of iOS 15.4 last week, Apple today stopped the verification of iOS 15.3.1. This means that users who updated to iOS 15.4 can no longer downgrade to iOS 15.3.1.

Moreover, iOS 15.4 adds the ability to unlock with Face ID when wearing a mask on iPhone 12 and later, as well as new emojis, the option to initiate simulcast sharing sessions directly from supported apps, and more.

Furthermore, Apple usually stops the verification of older versions of iOS within a few weeks after pushing the official version update. For some users who have updated to the latest iOS system, when they encounter major bugs, the downgrade method can sometimes be very effective.

That’s why Apple waits a while before closing the authentication channel for older versions of iOS. The previous release of iOS 15.3.1 provided important security updates for iPhones and fixed an issue that could cause Braille displays to stop responding.
