Microsoft releases a variety of spring 2022 Xbox controllers

Microsoft officially announced that the Xbox team has teamed up with PowerA, Otterbox, and 8BitDo to create a number of Easter-themed 2022 Spring Series Xbox gamepads.

First, Xbox and PowerA have teamed up to launch the following five controllers (PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller), suitable for Xbox Series X|S, like other PowerA wired controllers; plug and play, with a 10-foot detachable cable for easy Clean up; two fully mappable game buttons are provided on the back, which can be custom programmed by the player.

The five colors are psychedelic lavender, blue cotton candy, pink lemonade, purple fascination, and the dreamland of Gensokyo. They’re on sale for $38 at the Microsoft Store and other third-party retailers, and they’re on sale on April 18th. These colors represent the following meanings:

  • – Lavender Swirl – mesmerizing, swirling, psychedelic goodness;

  • – Cotton Candy Blue – a sugary feel inspired by the sweetest foods of childhood;

  • – Pink Lemonade – a cool and refreshing design that brightens up any game session;

  • – Purple Camo – soft purple meets rough camouflage;

  • – Pastel Dream – Soothing gradients that turn even the most stressful meeting into a relaxing gaming symphony.

In addition, Microsoft also launched the Pastel Pink Ultimate handle with 8BitDo, the parameters seem to be no different, slightly more compact, with two additional programmable buttons on the back, and an additional 8BitDo Ultimate software application (available for X series, Xbox One, Windows 10Android and iOS).

Moreover, users can set the mapped keys on demand and will be available on May 31 at the Microsoft Store and other retailers in select markets around the world for an initial price of $45.

Moreover, Xbox has teamed up with OtterBox to develop a new Lilac Dream color Otter Box Easy Grip Controller Shells, also for the Xbox Series X. The main selling point of this series of handles drops and scratch resistance, and retains the excellent feel of the handle itself. Priced at $40, it’s available at the Microsoft Store in the US and Canada, as well as other select retailers worldwide.

Furthermore, Microsoft also announced that it has teamed up with Paramount to launch a joint Xbox controller for “Sonic the Hedgehog 2”, which is divided into “Sonic Blue” and “Knuckles Red”, which are covered with fluff.

However, this handle does not seem to be going on sale publicly, and Microsoft may be preparing to give it away by lottery. Follow Xbox on Twitter and retweet (with #XboxSonic2Sweepstakes) or redeem with Microsoft Points in the US until April 4th.

It is worth mentioning that the open-world 3D platform game “Sonic: Frontier” will be released this holiday season for PS5, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
