According to the latest report, the new Seagate SkyHawk AI 20TB hard drive has been released, priced at $529.99. This product series is specially designed for AI-enabled network video recorders (NVRs) in edge security applications, can intelligently adapt to the user’s AI environment expansion.

It supports up to 64 HD video streams and 32 AI streams. With capabilities to support scalable AI workloads, SkyHawk AI addresses the growing demand for advanced video image analysis (VIA) systems that analyze and record video footage while supporting GPU analysis.
Moreover, the latest 20TB hard drive is built with ImagePerfect AI firmware to enable heavier workloads with zero dropped frames. As an enterprise-class drive, the new SkyHawk AI 20TB features high reliability with a mean time between failure (MTBF) of 2 million hours and a workload rate of 550TB/year, supporting workloads that are three times that of standard Video Imaging and Analytics (VIA) drives times more.
Furthermore, the drive offers SkyHawk Health Management, which proactively protects the user’s Video Image Analysis (VIA) storage system by monitoring environmental and usage conditions and recommending preventive measures when necessary.
SkyHawk AI provides three years of Rescue Data Recovery Services, allowing users to recover data from accidental loss due to power outages, user errors, etc.
