Alibaba Cloud Disk App previously announced on the homepage that VIP members will be launched soon, and it has officially arrived. Non-member users continue to maintain unlimited speed; members have 6TB space, 12 yuan per month; super members 20TB space, 30 yuan per month. If the user pays annually, it is as low as 6.2% and 10% respectively.
At present, the latest version 3.0 of Alibaba Cloud Disk has been put on the shelves in each application store. Due to store disclosure restrictions, some follow-on benefits are not displayed in the app. According to the Alibaba Cloud Disk team, features such as mounted disks, synchronized disks, and online 60-frame playback will be gradually upgraded to membership rights.

The combination of the mounted disk, the synchronization disk, and the huge 20T space allows users to have a more consistent experience in multiple terminals and supports online playback of 60 frames of image quality.
At the same time, cloud applications are still open to all users, with no restrictions on payment. Including customized document services with WPS, video notes were written while watching, backup of contacts and chat records, and subscription of original materials of talents. At present, there are still a variety of free expansion tasks in the welfare agency, and users can receive over 2T of space.
A year ago, Alibaba Cloud Disk launched the public beta, and announced product principles such as “no matter if you pay for free, there will be no speed limit in the future”, “simple and undisturbed”, and “long-term investment”.
During the period, the industry has had several rounds of speculation about its commercialization strategy, including thinking that speed limit measures will be taken and the space will be greatly reduced.
After the membership plan was leaked, users in the digital community commented that compared with the industry, the two levels of members-only have 40% of the price for the same space; or 4 times the storage space for the same price.
Moreover, Alibaba Cloud Disk offers 1 month, 3 months, and 1-year payment methods, which are 12 yuan, 30 yuan, and 98 yuan respectively. For comparison, the current 5TB space of Baidu Netdisk Super Member is 30 yuan per month; while the iCloud+2T space is 68 yuan per month.
At present, the new version of Alibaba Cloud Disk paid services includes three types, namely “ordinary members”, “super members” and “excess capacity” that are not members. Ordinary members can provide “500GB lockbox”, “6TB storage space”, “Online cloud decompression”, “1080p HD playback” and other benefits.
In general, the main differences between members and non-members and between the two types of members are storage space, online video bit rate, number of transfers, number of logged-in devices, the validity period of the recycle bin, etc., and the download rate that everyone cares about most seems to be not limited. In addition, Alibaba Cloud Disk also stated that more rights will be launched in the future.
