According to the latest report, Apple iOS 15 was first previewed during WWDC21 in June last year. Released last September, the iOS 15 system on the new iPhone 13 was missing several important features.
Now, after six months and four major updates to iOS 15. x in this cycle, Apple has finally fulfilled every feature promise it previewed at WWDC21. iOS 15 promises refinements and changes, including an improved focus mode, a new Safari design, and more features for FaceTime.

Moreover, Apple was also able to bring the ability to track iPhones with the first version of iOS 15, even when powered off, but many other features are still missing.
A month after the initial release, Apple released version 15.1 of iOS. One of the most anticipated features, SharePlay is finally available. With it, you can connect with a dozen friends or family members and use FaceTime to watch parties, listen to music, or exercise together.
Five weeks later, with the arrival of iOS 15.2, Apple brought with it two other features that iOS 15 originally announced were lacking: App Privacy Reports and Legacy Contacts.
With the App Privacy Report, users can see how often apps have accessed their location, photos, camera, microphone, and contacts over the past seven days. Legacy Contacts will allow users to designate some people as Legacy Contacts so they can access cell phone accounts and personal information in the event of a user’s death.
Even with these two major updates, some features are still lacking, more notably universal controls for iPad OS and macOS users and digital ID for US users. Surprisingly, iOS 15.3 just polishes the iOS experience and doesn’t bring obvious new features.
Then, with the official release of iOS 15.4 just last week, Apple brought universal controls, and today the company announced the first state in the US to use digital IDs — Arizona. That said, all the features that were first previewed during the June WWDC21 keynote are finally available.
It’s worth noting that there are two features that are still in beta testing. Universal Control and Private Relay, but both are working as reliably as possible and are available to all users.
Furthermore, iOS 15 also brings the ability to share FaceTime links, so Android and PC users can join video calls. Not only that, but it also brings the ability to store home and hotel keys and work passes in the Apple Wallet app.
The next step is to look forward to this summer’s WWDC22 Global Developers Conference, where Apple is expected to release the new iOS 16 system and launch the first developer preview.
