Encourages research on combination of quantum computing and CMOS technology: French institution

According to the latest report, the French official Priority Research Program and Equipment (PEPR) program for quantum technology research has announced the first ten research projects.

Moreover, the theme of Project 1 is “Development of high-performance solid-state qubits for quantum computing”, and the research goal is to conduct early research on the combination of spin qubits with mature CMOS manufacturing processes, and to sort out potential key technical requirements.

Furthermore, other projects include the development of cold atom-based qubits and sensors, the development of quantum cryptography solutions, quantum communications, and other topics.
