The original price of the Core i9-12900K was US$589, and the Core i9-12900KS premium was $200, which was about 1/3 more expensive. Now the domestic price of the Core i9-12900K is $786, then Core i9-12900KS costs about $1,021.
This processor is the first KS special edition of the last three generations after the 9th-generation i9-9900KS. Using a chip with a special physique, it can reach higher frequencies without greatly increasing the voltage.
It is officially confirmed that the highest acceleration frequency of the i9-12900KS can reach 5.5GHz, which is the height that a single large core can achieve, which is 300MHz higher than that of the i9-12900K.
The large-core all-core acceleration frequency is 5.2GHz, which is 400MHz higher than that of the i9-12900K. In other words, the Core i9-12900KS is still 8 large, 8 small, 16 cores, 24 threads, 14MB L2 cache, 30MB L3 cache, integrated core UHD 770, 32 units.
In the previous performance test, its GeekBench 5 single-core running score was 2080-2101, which is about 5% higher than that of the i9-12900K, which is the strongest single-core performance so far.
The multi-core running score is 18992-19010, which is about 10% higher than that of the i9-12900K. Although it is not as good as the thread tearer and Xeon, it is also the most powerful on mainstream consumer platforms.
