According to the CNMO news, On March 25, Canalys and Conas Consulting released the 2021 Indian PC market report. The report says India’s PC market will grow by 45% in 2021, with shipments of desktops, laptops, and tablets reaching 18.6 million units.

As much of India went into lockdown in the first and second quarters, which largely dampened business activity, it also boosted demand for PCs. The vaccination rates soar and businesses and schools return to normal.
It is reported that notebook computer shipments were 11.8 million units, a year-on-year increase of 49%, accounting for 63% of the total shipments; tablet computer shipments reached 4.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 48%, and a global decline of 3%.
From the list, HP shipped 46,770 units, leading the Indian PC market with a 25.1% market share; Lenovo shipped 42,870 units, ranking second with a 23% market share; Dell’s market share accounted for 14%, ranking third.
In addition, PC shipments reached 5.3 million units in the fourth quarter of 2021, an increase of 46% over the fourth quarter of 2020; laptops increased by 40% to 3.3 million units, while desktop shipments increased by 70% year-on-year.
Whereas the tablet shipments rose 49% from a year earlier to 1.3 million units. Canalys research analyst Jash Shah said demand from SMEs and corporate customers will be stronger as COVID-19 case numbers drop.
