Officials said that the new XP PLUS Android handheld plans to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen1 solution, but due to Qualcomm’s restrictive strategy and pricing issues, GPD finally chose MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 chip.
Moreover, this Dimensity 1200 Android handheld will be provided with LPDDR4-4266 memory, fitted with UFS 3.1 flash memory, equipped with a USB-C interface that supports video transmission, supports fast charging and supports Wi-Fi 6.
Furthermore, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 will be released in early 2021. It adopts TSMC’s 6nm process, and the CPU adopts a 1+3+4 flagship triple-cluster architecture design.
It includes an Arm Cortex-A78 super core with the main frequency of up to 3.0GHz, with a nine-core GPU and Six-core MediaTek APU 3.0. At present, GPD has not announced the release time of this handheld.
