Russian manufacturers release ‘domestic notebooks’ with BAIKAL-M processors
Promobit company from Omsk, Russia has launched a “Russian domestic notebook computer” BITBLAZE Titan BM15, which is scheduled to be launched at the end of the year. It is based on the Russian processor Baikal-M and uses a 15.6-inch screen available in titanium alloy, it is aimed at Russian government and enterprise customers, starting from about 100,000 rubles.

Moreover, the RF “Baikal-M” series CPU adopts an 8-core ARM architecture, based on TSMC’s 28nm process, with the main frequency of 1.5 GHz, an integrated Mali-T628 MP8 core, a GPU frequency of 750MHz, and supports dual-channel DDR4-2400 or DDR3- 1600 memory, power consumption does not exceed 35W.
This laptop will be available in two versions. The first one uses an aluminum casing, priced at about 100,000 rubles; the second uses a titanium alloy casing, about 200,000 rubles, the specific price, and release date have not been announced, but only said that it will be mass-produced at the end of this year.
