Moreover, Mesh networks are increasingly offering more coverage and convenience than standalone routers, while Wi-Fi 6 delivers faster speeds and a better experience than Wi-Fi-5.

Building on the Eero 6, Amazon has introduced two new mesh Wi-Fi routers – the Eero Pro 6E and Eero 6+. Both routers support the 6 GHz band and double as Zigbee smart home relay hubs.

Currently, Eero 6 starts at $89, Eero Pro 6E is $299, and Eero 6+ is $139. Eero claims that the Pro 6E is the fastest router to date, supporting speeds of 2.3 Gbps wired and 1.3 Gbps wireless, with network coverage up to 2,000 square feet and support for up to 100 devices.

According to the official introduction, the Eero 6+ is by far the most economical gigabit router, it provides two 1.0 Gb Ethernet ports, supports dual-band WiFi and 160 MHz bands. The router can cover an area of up to 1500 square feet.

Both products support Eero TrueMesh technology, which minimizes network dead spots and intelligently avoids disconnects. The device also supports OTA over-the-air updates, Eero says, with additional security and network management features to follow (unlocked via a separate subscription).
