GPD officially unveiled details of WIN Max 2 handheld

GPD recently officially announced the new WIN Max 2 handheld, which will launch the 12th-generation Core on the handheld. At present, the official release time of this handheld has not been announced.

This afternoon, GPD officially announced the  details of the WIN Max 2 handheld, which will be the world’s first Intel and AMD versions:

  • The Intel version is the 12th generation Core i7-1280P, with 16 cores and 20 threads, TDP 20W, up to 64W. The core display part is still Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7, 96EU, 768 stream processors.

  • The AMD version is the Ryzen 7 6800U, with 8 cores and 16 threads, a turbo frequency of up to 4.7GHz, and a TDP of up to 28W. The core display is an AMD Radeon 680M with RDNA2 architecture, 12CU, 768 stream processors, and it claims to have the same performance as the MX450. GPD said that under 1080P, most of the game masterpieces in the past two years can run at 45 frames to 60 frames.

Moreover, GPD has announced the appearance of the WIN Max 2 handheld. The A, B, and C sides of the fuselage are made of aluminum-magnesium alloy, the D side is made of ABS material.

It uses a 10.1-inch ultra-narrow bezel native horizontal screen with a default resolution of 1920 ×1200, a maximum resolution of 2560×1600, support 10-point touch, 4096-level pressure sensitivity, compatible with Surface Pen, the camera on the hinge.

In the keyboard part, the GPD WIN Max 2 handheld adopts a standard keyboard layout, the handle part introduces a hall rocker for the first time, the shoulder key adopts a linear trigger key, dual vibration motors, three-axis gravity sensor + three-axis gyroscope, six-axis design.

Furthermore, the interface is equipped with two USB 3.2 Gen 2, a headphone jack, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4 (USB 4 for AMD version), a full-featured Type-C interface, and SD and microSD card slots, support External graphics card docking station is used.

Besides, the device is also equipped with dual M.2 SSD slots, an optional 4G LTE module, and supports fingerprint recognition.
