Global VR headset shipments surpassed 10 million in 2021: IDC
IDC’s latest report shows that global AR / VR headset shipments will reach 11.23 million units in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 92.1%.
Moreover, the shipment of VR headsets reached 10.95 million units, breaking through an important turning point in the industry with annual shipments of 10 million units, and Oculus’ share reached 80%.

Furthermore, IDC predicts that in 2022, the global VR headset shipments will be 15.73 million units, a year-on-year increase of 43.6%. The report pointed out that since May 2021, domestic local VR manufacturers have launched new products one after another, and the pace of iteration has accelerated significantly.
