According to the latest report, data released by market research agency SNE Research on the 30th showed that from January to February this year, the global sales of hydrogen-electric vehicles were 2,269 units, an increase of 20.3% over the same period last year.

Among them, the sales volume of Hyundai’s hydrogen energy models in the first two months of this year ranked first in the world. Hyundai’s first-generation NEXO and other models performed well, selling 1,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 35%, and taking the lead with a market share of 48.5%.

Moreover, Toyota’s sales fell 18.2% year-on-year to 728 vehicles in the same period last year, and its market share shrank to 32.1%. The analysis believes that this is mainly due to the supply chain bottleneck caused by the natural disaster in Japan, which has reduced the supply at the beginning of the year.

Furthermore, another Japanese automaker Honda’s sales fell 9.1% to 70 units in the same period, ranking among the top three with a 3.1% share. SNE Research predicts that Hyundai, which has led the hydrogen vehicle market for the past three years, will continue to maintain its dominance for some time to come.
