The Microsoft Edge browser has tried a new Workspaces feature that allows users to rename tabs and assign colors to each tab. This function is suitable for categorizing different tabs, such as work, entertainment, study, etc.

However, the feature was removed shortly after a brief test on the Canary channel, with no explanation or official announcement from Microsoft. According to Neowin, the feature may return to Edge.
In the recent Edge Canary update, Microsoft introduced a new switch in the browser’s appearance settings that allows users to enable or disable the Workspaces button on the toolbar.
Moreover, Microsoft put the Workspace button in the upper left corner of the browser, and it is unclear where it will be placed this time. Currently, the switch has no effect, so the function is yet to be launched.
