The foreign channel iAppleBytes conducted an iOS 15.4 battery drain test on iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone XR, and older models, and the answer did prove the above, but only for some models.

In iOS 15.4’s battery drain test, the iPhone 13 lasted 8 hours and 26 minutes, 8 minutes less than iOS 15.3.1. Compared to iOS 15.3.1, the iPhone 12 dropped 22 minutes on iOS 15.4 to 6 hours and 34 minutes.

The iPhone 11 featured roughly the same battery life running iOS 15.4, lasting 5 hours and 11 minutes. It seems that Apple loves the old model of the iPhone as iOS 15.4 battery life test was done.

Interestingly, users of the iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and iPhone 8 have actually increased their battery life after upgrading to iOS 15.4, and their battery life has increased by 20 to 30 minutes, which is a major leap compared to iOS 15.3.1.

The 2020 iPhone SE models also get a big battery boost, adding more than 30 minutes. We can conclude that Apple’s latest iOS 15.4 system has enhancements that can improve the battery life of older iPhones.
