Moreover, the latest data from CINNO Research shows that in February, the terminal sales of China’s smartphone SoC market fell after a double increase in January and year-on-year. The overall market terminal sales fell by about 24% month-on-month and about 20.5% year-on-year.
Furthermore, the report pointed out that in the Chinese smartphone SoC market segment in February, Qualcomm and Ziguang Zhanrui fell less than the overall market average, and Qualcomm fell by about 21.8 %. MediaTek dropped the second, about 25%.
In February, Apple’s smartphone SoC terminal sales in mainland China fell by 24.8% month-on-month. The reason is that after the hot sales in the fourth quarter of last year, the demand fell. Although the month-on-month decline, its total SoC terminal shipments were similar to the same period last year, with a year-on-year decline of only 4%.
In addition, ultra-high-end smartphone SoCs above USD 945 is Qualcomm’s fastest-growing market share. In February, its market share increased to about 10.1%, with a month-on-month growth rate of about 14.7%. High-end smartphone SoCs are still Qualcomm and MediaTek.
