Drivers who are approaching emergency vehicles, accident handlers, work zones, and other information on the road provided by the safety cloud will now receive alerts in Apple Maps. Digital alerts about impending hazards on the road can improve driver safety and reduce the risk of crashes.
Jeremy Agulnek, senior vice president of connected vehicles at HAAS Alert, said the company applauds “Apple for prioritizing driver safety and taking steps to achieve its ‘Vision Zero’ goal of eliminating all traffic fatalities and serious injuries.”
Furthermore, safety alerts about impending road hazards have been available in the Apple Maps app for some time, but the addition of information from the HAAS safety cloud will make the alerts more comprehensive.
