Ford recalls 700,000 vehicles in U.S to solve problem of Software

According to the latest report, Ford Motor Co. said on Friday that it is recalling 737,000 vehicles in the United States to solve the problem of oil spills and damaged trailer systems. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified from April 18.

Ford has issued a recall for the 2020-2022 Escape SUV and the 2021-2022 Bronco Sport SUV with the 1.5-liter engine because the engine oil separator housing could rupture and leak oil, potentially causing an engine fire.

Moreover, Ford said at least eight fires may be related to the problem, but there were no casualties or incidents, and they will be inspected and oil separators and seals replaced if necessary.

Additionally, the recall includes 391,836 the model year 2021-2022 F-150, 2022 Ford Maverick, Expedition, Lincoln avigator, F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 vehicles equipped with electro-hydraulic due to a software bug trailers with braking systems may fail to brake, increasing the risk of an accident.

It is understood that there have been 67 reports that may be related to this issue. Ford will update the brake control software to address the issue.
