GM delivered 457 electric vehicles last quarter in US
According to the latest report, in the first quarter of 2022, GM delivered just 457 electric vehicles in the U.S., including 358 Chevrolet Bolt EV/EUV and 99 GMC Hummer electric pickups. But GM has pledged to deliver more EVs in the future.

In recent years, GM has claimed to be “all-in” on electric vehicles, but its sales have not reflected that. One of its major setbacks was a massive recall of all Bolt EV/EUVs and battery replacements, which affected not only the thousands of vehicles delivered but the company’s current production.
Because the new batteries will be prioritized for the recalled Bolt EV/EUV over new production, this has resulted in a prolonged interruption in Bolt EV/EUV production, affecting GM’s EV sales.
However, GM said in a statement that its electric vehicle sales are about to pick up as production resumes next week. “Chevrolet Bolt EV/EUV production will resume on April 4. Chevrolet dealers also recently resumed deliveries of Bolt EV/EUV in stock.”
In addition, GM has received more than 65,000 orders for the Hummer electric pickup truck, and the Cadillac Lyriq has begun production, which may increase GM’s electric vehicle sales in the second quarter.
