According to reports, the performance of the AMG EQS is quite good. It uses a dual-motor powertrain with a maximum output of 751 hp (560 kW) and 1020 Nm of torque in supercharged mode, and a standard output of 649 hp (483 kW) and 949 Nm of torque. , it takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles, and the software limits the top speed to 220 kilometers per hour.
Moreover, the top speed can reach 250 kilometers per hour; equipped with a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, the battery life is still a mystery, but the AMG EQS can pass the fast speed in 15 minutes. The charging increases the cruising range by 300 kilometers, and the official will also provide customers with a free 30-minute DC fast charge and two years of free maintenance.
Additionally, Mercedes will offer two trim versions of the AMG EQS: Exclusive and Pinnacle, but the company didn’t detail their specific differences. Mercedes-AMG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG, founded in the 1960s by former Mercedes-Benz employees.
Although it started out as an independent engineering firm focused on the performance customization of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, it was eventually acquired. The AMG EQS will feature a large 56-inch MBUX extra-long screen, as well as AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, AMG Ride Control+ suspension, and rear-wheel steering.
Furthermore, the car is also reported to be equipped with a range of safety features from Mercedes, and AMG engineers have also installed AMG Sound Experience, which allows drivers to choose three sound characteristics for their vehicle.
